Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: rumor about Palpatine’s true purpose and new clothes
Warning! Potential spoilers ahead.
MakingStarWars.net’s Jason Ward, a reliable “leaker”, claims that Darth Sidious’ true purpose in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is to “siphon the Force” through his granddaughter Rey and Kylo Ren in order to rejuvenate himself. And he succeeds.
Palpatine reportedly recovers “his Episode III youth”. But Ward’s doesn’t know if this refers to his good-looking or his disfigured appearance in Revenge of the Sith.
Also, Palpatine allegedly gets a new black robe with red lining.

I don’t know if I want them to tie this story with the legend of Darth Plagueis or if I want them to leave the prequels alone.

My god this has to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever read.
Not gonna bother giving them a dime for this movie.

Also, mark my words; if this is true, then this movie will be even worse received than Game of Thrones.

Well, stuff like this has (again) a certain “pulp” feeling to me, so I may even enjoy it in the final movie. And to be honest, I actually don’t care that much how old Palpatine is and looks in TRoS.
I am much more skeptical when it comes to Palpatine’s return itself.
