Here’s another good news from Star Wars Celebration Anaheim! The upcoming animated anthology series Star Wars; Tales of the Jedi will focus on Jedi from the Prequel era. It’s coming in Fall 2022 on Disney+.
According to Gizmodo, Dave Filoni serves as writer and executive producer on the series. He said that he wanted to do some extra character work “in a way I couldn’t do in The Clone Wars”.
Here’s some more info from Gizmodo:
“Naturally, these shorts will will feature fan favorites such as Ahsoka Tano, who we’ll see in a trio of separate shorts that span her entire life. (One image of concept art at the panel showed her facing off against an Inquisitor.) Another character to receive their own trilogy of shorts will be Count Dooku, at a time before he became a Sith who got informed of his demotion via decapitation. His stories will feature his apprentice, a young Qui-Gon Jinn who will be voiced by not one, but two Neesons: Liam will return to reprise the role, while his son Michael will voice a younger version of the character.”
