The latest TV spot for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker features “Duel of the Fates”
The latest TV spot for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker features a new version of John William’s famous theme “Duel of the Fates”, which was created for the lightsaber fight in The Phantom Menace. Maybe it means we will hear “Duel of the Fates” in the movie. Or maybe it’s just a promotional thing.

Yeah, this TV spot has Ian McDiarmid giving us his Sidious voice. You’ll have noticed that he gave us Palpatine is the previous one with “and now you’re coming together…”. My bet is that the the former will be in the final cut, while the latter is just for the trailer.

I was referring to the inclusion of Duel of the Fates, but yeah.

For sure. I would say it’s more of a blend of Duel of the Fates with The Imperial March though. I suspect we’ll see the full reworking in the film.
Interesting to note that a 3rd version of the Dark Lord’s voice appears in another TV spot with “Let the final battle begin”. It’s not full Sidious, but it’s not Palpatine either.
