Rumor: A Star Wars animated series focused on Darth Maul in the works?

Cinelinx claims that a new Star Wars animated series focused on Darth Maul is already in the works. This is a serious site so the rumor is probably true.

According to Cinelinx, the series will be set between Revenge of the Sith and Solo, when Maul is running the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate. The cast reportedly includes Sam Witwer, Matt Lanter and Dee Bradley Baker, who respectively voiced Maul, Anakin Skywalker and the clone troopers in The Clone Wars and other projects. Paul Bettany, who played Dryden Vos in Solo, is also expected to reprise his role.

If this is confirmed, it will be nice to see another iconic character from the Prequel Trilogy at the forefront of a new series. Although it would be even better if some of these new projects were set in the Republic era!
