Temuera Morrison wants to play clone troopers again in future Star Wars projects

In a new interview with The Washington Post, Star Wars actor Temuera Morrison says he’d like to play clone troopers again, at a later point in the timeline.

“Well, there are people — I’m thinking of Captain Rex for one. He looks a little like me. There’s Commander Cody. What happened to those guys? There’s all those clone armies. That could be something fresh and new and exciting.”

Morrison played Jango Fett and the clone troopers modeled on him in Episodes II and III. He recently came back as Jango’s “clone son” Boba Fett in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

The animated series Rebels and The Bad Batch already tell what happens to some clone troopers after the end of the Republic, but it would be a worthy subject for live-action projects as well.

However, I doubt that Rex or Cody will appear in the upcoming series Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka. If that were the case, Morrison would certainly not talk openly about this idea.

Maybe “Ahsoka” and “Obi-Wan” will feature Rex or Cody, and this is the reason why Temuera is entertaining the idea in the interview))

I like your angle. This was how McGregor was talking before the Kenobi show was announced, was it not? Gently teasing, but not quite giving away the truth either.
